Welcome to mmctsu.com Personal Webspace. As a contributor, you may use 20 megabytes of disk space to make information available to the world via the World Wide Web.

Your Showcase space is located on ftp.mmctsu.com (with telnet and FTP access through ftp.mmctsu.com).

The URL path to your homepage will be:

Getting started

To upload files to your Personal Webspace from a Macintosh, we recommend you use Fetch. Start up this program and go to the "New Connection" window (this may come up automatically when you start Fetch.) Fill in the following information:

Host: ftp.mmctsu.comUser ID: Your Username (the part of your email address before the "@") Password: Your Email Password Directory: .web (this will take you straight to the directory that your web site resides on)

When you have filled this in, click on "OK" and you will be connected.

To upload files, click on 'Put File'. Locate the files on your hard drive and then click on "Open". You will be asked how you want to upload the file. If it is a plain text file (like an HTML document) upload it as Text. If it is a graphic file (like a GIF or JPEG file) upload it as Raw Data. Please note that your Personal Webspace files reside on a Unix system, and can not have spaces in the file name. Also, file names are case sensitive. We suggest using all lowercase letters for your file names, such as 'webpage.html' to avoid confusion.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Your "home page" must be called index.html and should overwrite the existing index.html file that resides in your .web directory. This will remove the "Already Registered" page that is found when you look at your Personal Webspace site.
